Seva Babakhan spent his childhood in the cultural oasis of Central Asia – Tashkent.

The vast blue sky, snow-capped mountain peaks, and the scorching breath of the desert instilled in his young soul a contrasting view of the world and attuned his imagination to a reverent perception of reality.

He spent the first part of his adult life in cold Russia, where he studied screenwriting at the All-Russian University of Cinematography, also known as VGIK, later working in television, where he contributed to the creation of several documentary projects.

Simultaneously, Seva Babakhan engaged in bold creative experiments in visual arts: painting, graphic design, and photography, immersing himself and his audience in a world of expressive images woven from dreams, fantasies, and projections of the shifting reality surrounding him.

Leaving snowy Moscow and moving to the United States, he fully dedicates himself to the art of photography, inviting us into his world of strange interweavings of fluid reality, vivid imagery, and complex associations.
